Becoming more sustainable, step by step: fashion with a focus on fair and eco-friendly raw materials.

fair – In addition to the legal regulations in many countries (minimum wage, sickness cover and a ban on child labour), working conditions are governed by official certifications or membership of the Fair Wear Foundation. This applies to over 90 per cent of our products.
organic – We prioritise the use of cotton from certified organic cultivation or recycled materials for our products; the virgin wool we offer comes from animals living in certified species-appropriate conditions.
recycled – Many textiles at fairtragen also contain recycled materials. Compared to brand-new goods, this reduces the environmental impact, even if the production chain cannot be fully verified against fair trade criteria anymore.
cool – Wear what not everyone else has, as many of our manufacturers are small, compared to the major fashion labels and therefore produce smaller quantities.

When selecting our products, we ensure they meet transparent environmental and social criteria. For us, ‘fair’ begins with the sourcing of raw materials and doesn’t end at our sales counter, it is continued by being worn by you - that is why we call it fairtragen!
