Tejidos Memé is a small (one person) manufacturer from Chile producing knit and crochet wear. All products are hand knitted, all wool is directly purchased by the producer on small markets or from the farmers. In turn we directly buy the products from the producer at fair prices.

Alpaca wool is mainly produced in Peru, to a small part in the region of Iquique/Chile.

Sheep wool is mainly from the chilean Island of Chiloe.

Colors are mainly natural colors of the animals or  naturally dyed with onions, mate, rind of a tree or mud.

Strong colors (as blue) are dyed ecologically with (azo-, heavy metal-, and contaminants free) dyes.
